I picked this coat because it was herringbone (not solid black so as to hide pet fur) and the "walker" length without having a back vent. It really does not have a back vent although you couldn't tell in the pictures. The style is trendy but classic at the same time. However, I normally wear a 12 in coats and I ordered a Large after checking the measurements, but it was too tight in the upper arms (I admit mine aren't ridiculously thin). The bust, though, was very tight (almost couldn't button), and I know my bust measurement (38-39) definitely fit within the manufacturer's guidelines for a size Large. It isn't terribly heavy but a decent weight. The other odd thing is that the buttons are held on by ribbons, a few of which came a little untied just with me taking it out of the box & trying it on. I am going to return it due to the size issue, but I haven't decided if I'm going to exchange it for an extra large or not, just because of the other issues.
