Apparel reviews of STABILicers Lite Ice CleatsCustomer Review: Awesome Rating: 5 Stars
I was just outside cleaning off my car and decided I HAD to come on and write a review on these. They are truly incredible. I'm writing this on Feb 2nd while in the Boston area, where everything is slippery and icy, due to a 2 day storm. I was a bit nervous venturing out as I've had extensive surgeries on my feet and I have trouble walking on snow and ice. My feet cannot make the gripping motion that typically allows one to grip the ground when unsteady (as well as wear flip flops). These STABILicers worked great. I was able to get down a slippery set of stairs and into a very icy and slippery driveway without feeling the least bit unsteady. Keep in mind that I usually cannot even stand on ice, due to my foot problems. These make me feel very secure. They are very easy to take on and off and stayed on securely walking through both ice and snow. You will definitely not be disappointed with this product. I've tried others and they were not good at all.
Customer Review: AWESOME! Rating: 5 Stars
Everyone seems to forget those who really spend the whole day outdoors, the mail carrier. I purchased these just in time for the ice storm that came into the Northeast area recently. As a mail carrier, I was able to walk with confidence, on icy streets, sidewalks and stairs. No more taking baby steps through the ice patches and holding on to the rails while going up and down the stairs. They do make noise though like real cleats on sidewalks that are clear and free of ice and you start to walk a bit funny but you can slide them on and off with ease because they stretch. My ankles did hurt a bit after all day but it is so worth it...better than falling. I saw another mail carrier nearby who did one of those Matrix moves going over some ice. I shouted, "You need a pair of these puppies!". Best investment ever! Will be ordering 2 more pairs for family members and another back-up pair for me.
Customer Review: These Are Great! Rating: 5 Stars
I had sacrificed walking during a lot of the winter due to snow/ice on the streets. Discovered these a couple of years ago and now I can walk year round.
These are handy little things that are super easy to use. They grip on ice and snow and leave me feeling very steady on my feet.
They have been very durable too. I walk a lot and at times have to walk on bare sidewalks where snow has melted. The 'spikes' have not been hurt by this at all.
Just so nice to find an affordable product that does what it says it will do and lasts longer than 10 seconds. Yeah to whomever invented these things.
Customer Review: These have transformed winter for me! Rating: 5 Stars
These things are wonderful! I can go out in winter now without fear. I have degenerative disc problems and do not recover quickly from falls. My son bought me a pair of these and it makes winter something do-able for me again. I don't have to cower indoors any more. I live in New England and we thaw and re-freeze almost daily producing what we fondly call "black ice". It just looks wet, but it's slicker than ..... Very tricky stuff. The other thing around here that's fun is a light dusting of snow over ice making it invisible. Stabilicers tame it all and I can take winter in stride! I just ordered 3 more pairs to keep my family upstanding!
Customer Review: Survival Essential for Winter Walking in Maine Rating: 5 Stars
On January 13, I slipped and fell on snow-covered ice while walking the dog and broke my right wrist. All during the 10 days following my surgery, I fretted about how I was going to be able to walk my 2-year old Golden Retriever on the snowy, icy private road I live on. My sister and brother-in-law had an extra pair of Stabilicers, brought them to me and put them on my walking shoes. (Broken wrist, couldn't do it myself.) What a relief! I am sure-footed on everything winter has thrown at us since, including the 1" thick ice. The Stabilicers stay on and allow me to walk "normally" instead of creeping along. Great product!
