I have used cheaper versions of similar products for years, and usually go through 3 or 4 pair a season. This was cost a little more than the dime-store version, but it will last a season or more! Young or old, we have all slipped on the ice, and walked away with bruised pride. But many walk away with broken bones, sprained ankles or cuts. If you spend time out doors in the winter, these will save you. Essential for city or rural people walking dogs, walking the the bus stop or school, or anyplace you encounter snow.Customer Review: Awesome product!

I was hesitant to buy these because I was under the wrong impression that I needed cleats or studs to get good traction. But these funny little nubs work GREAT! I used them to walk back and forth from my truck to the ski lodge on ice and I could run & stop on a dime. I can't comment about using them for hiking, but if you're looking for keep from falling in your driveway, sidewalks, or wherever you may go throughout your day- these work very well!

I bought these about a year ago. Never got the chance to use them here in nj. This winter has been pretty bad and i have to say they work absolutely great. Getting them on is a little tough. Once you get both straps on the back they are great. We had an ice storm and i went out next morning in the rain with them on and was 100% stable. I could jump over the end of driveway puddle and land no problem. Really great for everyday use.Customer Review: Sizing

These things work very well, but the sizing chart is ambiguous. Depending on what kind of shoe/boot you will wear with them, the size needed will change. The size chart reflects use with normal street or light hiking shoes. If you will be wearing "treadier" boots or winter boots you will likely want to buy a size larger.Customer Review: Like walking on carpet!

I bought these years ago. I don't need them often, but when I do, they are a hip-saver! I like that they take almost no space, so storing them is easy. And even after 5 years, the rubber is still very pliable and not dry-rotted.
