Description of iPhone 3G Stylus

Excellent accessory for your iPhone 3G or Ipod Touch. Lightweight stylus allows for smooth damage-free navigation across touchscreen! Same technology as other sytlus that retail for $20! Rubber angled tip provides enough contact with screen to allow proper electrocurrent flow to replicate the use of your finger on the touchscreen. Best for typing and selecting rather than "dragging". To use properly, place entire flat edge of angled side, not just the tip of the angle, on the trouchscreen. Item wll not function proplerly if entire angled edge is not making full contact with the screen. Item comes with "pen clip" so that you do not lose it. Great accessory for your Iphone 3G or Ipod touch. Black color available (search Amazon for B001BSBVNA)

Apparel reviews of iPhone 3G Stylus

Customer Review: Based on the reviews, i was hesitant... but...
Rating: 4 Stars

Before I say anything, I'm just gonna let everyone know, I have an iPhone 3GS. On with the review...

This item is soooo underrated in my opinion! It works fine! Smaller than I expected too.

PROS:
~Works
~Small (4 in. long)
~Can clip onto my OtterBox Case (i use the rubber opening from the headphone jack cover)
~I was under the impression that you CANNOT slide the screen or draw (bases on reviews), when in fact, YOU CAN!

CONS:
~Tip is kind of a "bubble" (I was thinking it would be more solid, but its not a big problem)
~Have to push down a little harder
~No grip (although i found an old pen grip that fit perfectly)
~Can scratch screen protectors if when you drag the stylus on an angle, the hard part right below the bubble drags on the screen with it

But overall, I would recommend this. Don't hesitate! I mean COME ON! LOOK AT THE PRICE! A BUCK AND A HALF?!?!?

Customer Review: Generic stylus's are just as good as name brand's...
Rating: 4 Stars

If its a generic stylus on Amazon then for the most part its the same generic stylus being sold by every generic stylus seller selling generic stylus's on Amazon. ;)

They are all going to cost from ¢0.01 to $1.00 each with the outrageous S&H of at least $2.98 each to send you something so small & lightweight it floats on water.

But still, $3 to $4 for one of these stylus isnt a bad price in the grand scheme & it definately makes typing easier.

My only complaint about the stylus itself is that while it types well it dosent work nearly as well as your finger to scroll & feels like the rubber tip may come off with continued scrolling pressure.

Ive purchased 1/2 a dozen or so from different sellers in different colors & have them at the ready for typing & suggest if you have large digits to get ya some...

Customer Review: Works as described

This stylus seems a little cheaper in person than in the picture, but it does work. It is basically a hollow metal cylinder with a plastic clip at the top and a slanted rubber tip at the bottom. The tip is somewhat large, larger around than a #2 pencil eraser, but there is a reason for that. I tried using just the edge of the tip but that doesn't work, you have to use the bottom flat surface. Apparently the iPhone/iPod Touch needs a certain amount of contact area on the touchscreen for the touch to register. I had also previously tried the stylus from a Nintendo DS and a mobile phone, both had small tips and neither worked on the iPod Touch.

I think my text entry is better with this stylus, and it's great for games like Blowfish where your hand gets in the way of the screen when you're playing. For the price it is a good value.

Customer Review: Great stylus that works!

Pro's:
I've rarely had to clean the screen of fingerprints in the year since I've had it.

In that same time it still hasn't gave out.

The nib also picks up specs of dust nicely.

I can use it for a good stretch of time with no discomfort.

In Between:
Depending on how you use it, it's better for tapping rather than swiping for things like games, as the nib is soft and it feels like it's dragging a bit behind you.

It can be purchased for a couple pennies plus a few bucks S&H. Still for $2 it's good to have rather than not, imho.

Cons:
Mine came with a small dent in the stem and while I can feel it's there, it doesn't decrease it's usability.

Customer Review: Works good
Rating: 4 Stars

I definitely saw the need for a stylus for my iPhone because my fingers sometimes hit the wrong letters and it takes more time to edit the text than it used to with the Sidekick. The stylus takes some time to get used to your screen (or vice-versa), but once it does, it is pretty sensitive and you can type your letters much more precisely. It does help if you hold your iPhone's bottom to your chest when your writing, though, so that it is more stable. If you try to write while your walking with the stylus, it may be no different from writing with your fingers. I'd recommend this to others.
