Customer Review: These bands save $$ on buying transitional pants

These are a must-have for anyone looking to save money on maternity clothes. I work at a school and wear dress pants or khakis each day and didn't want to buy a whole new wardrobe. I wear all my pants completely unbuttoned and unzipped and nobody can tell because the bands hide my skin and hold my pants up. I wear mine almost every day - under sweaters, collared shirts, etc. I was a size 6-8 pre-preg and the size 2 bands fit well. Just be aware that the bands are very long and you will have to fold them over at first. This isn't a problem unless you wear tighter shirts that show the fold line above your navel.
Follow-up: I wore these belly bands during my pregnancy from months 3-6: while my old clothes were too small and maternity wear was too big. Now that the baby is here and I'm preparing to return to work, I'm once again turning to these bands. I've got a little pooch that prevents my pre-preg pants from buttoning and will be using these until I can work off the baby weight. I never had to purchase transitional clothes.
Customer Review: Product NOT designed to hold up pants

I see a lot of reviews that complain that the product does not hold up ones pants. News flash: If you read the product description, it clearly says it is not designed to hold up pants. So if that is what you are looking for, look elsewhere. A pair of sturdy suspenders might do the job.
That being said, I really love this product. It does exactly what it professes to do; namely, it hides maternity panels and unzipped/unbuttoned bottoms. As with any product that is lying over a highly mobile and typically curvy part of the body, it IS going to need readjustment from time to time. The length is perfect for me and I am 5'7" and plus-sized (I ordered a size 3 with a pre-pregnancy size of 16/18); and the sizing was great also.
So, in summary: Is it a miracle band that defies gravity, hides fat and banishes morning sickness? NO. Is it a great product that allows a gal to wear things she probably wouldn't be wearing at this stage? YES.
Customer Review: For those who need good hold but not too tight

I was two months when I bought a BeBand (by the same maker of the Bella Band) from Target but immediately felt that it was too tight. I was petite 0, sometimes P00, and like to wear clothes that fits but never too tight.
BeBand S/M (for pre-preg pant sizes 0-8) measures about 11.75"W and 11" from top to bottom.
Baby be Mine size 1 (pre-preg 0-4) measures about 13"W and 16" from top to bottom.
I returned BeBand and am using Baby be Mine over my unzipped jeans, folded with half of the band underneath the jeans and half out, so the tightest parts (top and bottom edges) are always on my hip and never on the belly. The band holds well and washes well, too. Hopefully I will never need to buy maternity pants but I am willing to upgrade a band size if my belly gets too big.
Another thing I like about Baby be Mine is that it's 92% cotton and 8% elasthane, while the BeBand is 79% nylon and 21% spandex.

This is now my second purchase with Baby Be Mine and I couldn't be happier. The belly bands are a great wardrobe extender. I am 16 weeks pregnant and I had a little bit of a hard time to put my outfits together. This is my first pregnancy and I am right now at the stage where I am just starting to pop. Not sure if I look pregnant or just a little bloated for other people. Since I have my belly band I have been able to cover my unbuttoned pants without worrying that somebody will see it. I have been able to wear all of my regular tops as the belly band creates a great layered look. I can move around the office freely and now comfortably. I'm back making my third purchase of these belly bands. I bought my wife one several weeks ago, and she absolutely loved it. A couple weeks later, I bought her one in the paisley print. She's so impressed with them, she wanted to get this 2-pack with the black and white ones as well, so she's got a variety of fashionable belly bands to choose from, every day. They make her feel great about the way she looks as she progresses through our first pregnancy. We're so grateful for such a terrific product.
