Apparel reviews of Baggallini Messenger BagCustomer Review: I like it, but... Rating: 3 Stars
I really wanted to like this bag and I do for the most part. First of all, I have a 2-year-old son and I need to carry a variety of items such as hot wheel trucks, cars, bottle of water, wallet, keys, small pack of wipes, small first aid kit, etc. Lots of little things which add up to the bag being a bit heavy. I agree with others that the strap keeps moving on its own which requires constant adjustment. Frankly, I'm disappointed with this purchase because it's a fairly high-priced bag and the strap should at least stay in place. Secondly, when I do put a lot of items in the bag my shoulder really starts to hurt after a while. In fact, I took it with me on a hike one day (admittedly a bad idea) and after the hike I had a horrible headache that lasted for hours which seemed to be linked to having the bag weighing on my shoulder. I have not taken it again. Basically the bag is good if you don't plan on carrying a lot, don't mind constantly adjusting the strap, and you're not going to be out very long so the bag won't cause your shoulder to hurt.
Now onto some other features. The mesh pocket on the side seems a bit small to me. I have a hard time squeezing in anything but smaller water bottles in there and if I'm going to be out all day, I'd like to be able to put something a little wider. I like the cell phone pocket on the strap. You can put your phone in there (I have a blackberry) and I don't even need to zip it up for it to be secure. It has a little pocket in there and it fits very snuggly. I like all the different pockets in the bag. They are very useful.
Customer Review: Not Good for Petite People Rating: 3 Stars
I bought this bag about two weeks ago in preparation for my trip to the UK at the end of December based on the great user reviews. I tested it out on a day trip to Disneyland a few days back and had a terrible time with it. My back was killing me! I realized that this bag was not made for short people at all! I adjusted the straps as tight as they could go, but the bag still hung way too low. I am 5'2" and it needs to be about 2 inches higher to fit perfectly and not cause any back pain. If you are taller this bag would be perfect. But if you are petite, I would recommend going to REI and testing out bags in person.
I would have rated this two stars, but customer service was great and they are refunding my money.
Customer Review: Cute, but not functional Rating: 2 Stars
I bought this bag for my daughter to take to school (1st grade). It is a cute bag, but the strap is bulky and much heavier than the rest of the bag. It is also much smaller than I expected. The largest compartment is not even big enough to fit her homework folder. The material is a slick material that would probably be stain resistant, but for anyone wanting to use this for work/school - DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. It won't work.
Customer Review: slippery and flimsy Rating: 1 Stars
I can't believe I paid this much for a bag of such weird quality. The bag's material is flimsy and light, while the strap is heavy and bulky, made of something like seatbelt webbing, it's really slippery and falls off your shoulder. The bag looks much bigger in the picture than it really is. Not a messenger bag at all, more like a little purse - for those who actually need their bag to carry more than keys and a wallet, the large compartment is not really big enough. Also, the tomato red is really orange, not like the red in the photo. All in all I'm really sorry I bought this.
