Customer Review: Works great....but it's not very loud

I purchased two belle hop personal safety alarms as Christmas presents. They are small and compact, and the strap mechanism that turns on the alarm is very simple. Even in an emergency, it would be very easy to activate the alarm.

On the downside, it is not very loud. It you are planning on using it to scare away an attacker, and are envisioning a piercing, overwhelming blast of noise (as I was for some reason), forget it. It's loud enough to provide some shock value I suppose, but at a distance of more than a few feet, it sounds like a distant alarm clock...not something that would really attract attention. Thus, I wouldn't recommend this product.
