Customer Review: psp slim plastic protective cover
Rating: 4 Stars

first of all, i love amazon.com, i found my psp slim here for one, if not thee cheapest places on the net. now, the plastic cover, i live in so-cal and when it was shipped i got it the next day! out of the package the plastic looks and feels flimsy but i guess it's so as to not add extra weight. when placed on the psp, looks like it would protect it from scratches. i would actually check out ebay as i found similar products for bit more than half the cost i paid for this.

Customer Review: Best PSP Case you can find
Rating: 5 Stars

I was looking for a case that would protect my new PSP while still showing off its sexy red color. I work at a large video game retailer and no case that we sell comes close to this. There are hard clear cases, but none would protect the screen and they are also bulkier. By the way, the hard screen protector can be lifted in case dust gets inside. All the ports are accessible but some of the switches would be hard to reach if you have big hands. The only con is that the UMD door gets stuck on the left side, just use a nail file to trim it down. You won't find a better case anywhere else.

Customer Review: Perfect fit...
Rating: 5 Stars

I bought this item for my husbands' PSP Slim (StarWars edition)...it's a perfect fit. The clear plastic allows the limited edition Darth Vader logo on the back to show through...it would have been a shame to hide the unique design and gorgeous ceramic white finish! ALL buttons and slots are accessible with this case...I highly recommend it over the Sony brand case.

A nice bonus is the flip-up screen cover and "kick-stand" at the base of the case.

The case was a little tricky to open, we were afraid of breaking it...but the plastic is firm yet flexible! Once it's on, it felt very protective.

Customer Review: Best PSP-Slim case around!
Rating: 5 Stars

Pros: It does a great job of protecting the PSP from damage, scratches, etc while still providing access to EVERY port on the psp (including those little screw holes up on the top for any accessories which might use them). It even has cutouts around the speakers so it doesn't muffle the audio at all. The grips on the back aren't as useful as you might expect but they do their job well enough to be a welcome addition. The screen protector can be lifted out of place if needed (more on that later), the built in stand works great and when folded into the main case is barely noticeable, the contour of the case leads smoothly to the L/R buttons so it doesn't make it awkward to use them.

Bad: Nothing really substantial. You have to remove the PSP from the case to get at the battery compartment but really, how often do you really need to get at it anyway? The case scratches a bit here and there so I suggest putting a screen protector onto the case's screen protector. It sounds redundant but think of it like this: the case is protecting the psp from major damage (ie: if you drop something pointy on the psp like the corner of a book or scissors) while the vinyl protectors you can get will protect it from scratches. One thing which might bother some people is after putting on the case your PSP will be about the same size as the old PSP fat but the size difference is pretty minimal and even if it initially bothers you, you should get used to it pretty fast unless you have really small hands or something. Another mixed pro/con item is the UMD cover doesn't hold on too well, it does its job just fine when its closed but when you open the UMD door, it almost always detaches and the UMD door of the PSP will close up again while the case's cover will be left so you essentially have to open the UMD twice (and it takes more work since the UMD cover snaps into place). If you aren't prone to changing UMDs every 5 minutes though this shouldn't really be a problem since it does do a great job of reducing accidental openings of the UMD door (which used to happen all the time to me before I got the case). The biggest problem I've had with the case so far, is when I first got it, the screen protector had come loose from its hinge during shipping. After a little work I got it back into place and it has worked flawlessly since. Also due to how the case is designed the mem stick and power switch might take a little getting used to access easily, it's not really a big deal though and it does help prevent accidently hitting the power switch though plus how often will you switch out your mem sticks? The WLAN switch however is a bit trickier to get to. If you don't have a fingernail or something (doesn't have to be long) you won't be able to switch it since the UMD cover comes just slightly too forward to give enough room for your finger to get in there by itself. Still unless you're prone to flipping it back and forth a lot, it's unlikely to be a major issue and it's still easy enough to flip if you have smaller fingers (I don't)

Other stuff: You should put a screen protector onto the PSP screen itself also in case any dirt finds its way between your case and the screen (unlikely but better safe than sorry right?). The case's screen protector can be lifted so you can clean out any dirt should it occur without having to remove the psp from the case.

If you try to use headphones or whatever while using the built in stand the PSP will get all lopsided, but that is a flaw of the PSP, not the case. I just thought I'd mention it while I'm at it.

Customer Review: The best PSP Slim case in town
Rating: 5 Stars

I had a case like this for my original fat PSP, and so I spent some time looking for a similar case for my PSP Slim. I found another one that had better reviews, but it didn't cover the screen, which was the entire reason I was looking for a case! I came across this one a few minutes later, and decided to give it a try in spite of some of the negative reviews. I'm very glad I did!

First off, I don't know what the first reviewer is talking about. *Everything* is accessible with the case on. You can charge it, put your headphones in, hook it up via USB, open the UMD door the whole way - AND you can get the memory card out with no trouble. It's much more impressive than the previous case I had for my fat PSP, and it barely adds any weight or mass to the slim. It fits on very snug, and it looks like it's going to do a good job of keeping dust and stuff out of area between the screen and the screen protector. Even better is that the screen protector part flips up so you can clean the screen (or play the PSP with nothing in between you and the screen) without taking the case off. All parts snap back into place securely. Also, the case is clear, not tinted blue like the pictures indicate.

To recap, it doesn't add bulk, everything is accessible, it's got a nifty stand, and it adds a great level of protection while managing to not get in the way.
I'll followup after a few weeks of use and abuse, but right now this seems like the best PSP case around.
