Baby socks for newborns aren't really necessary. Especially if they are swaddled all the time. By the time I wanted to put these socks on him, they were almost to tight on his pudgy calves. Plus the interior of these socks are all stringy. I know this would drive me nuts if I had a bunch of stringy thread wrapped around my toes in my socks.
