This Big Chill Colorblock Systems jacket is both attractive and warm. My son says it's heavy. Yes, a bit heavy duty for this region, but it is great for snow.

The great thing about the Colorblock Systems is its versatility. Because wearing the entire thing is too much for my son in our mild climate, he takes it apart and wears the inner jacket on its own. It's reversible, but my he likes to wear it with the warm fleece on the inside.

The outer jacket is waterproof and sturdy. For safety's sake, I like the neon yellow stripe.

The hood is removable.

It's hard to buy jackets over the internet. I never know how warm the jackets are going to be. This one is very warm and I have no worries about my son in the snow.
