Apparel reviews of High Visibility Class III Jacket with Removable Lining - in your choice of sizesCustomer Review: Great jacket Rating: 5 Stars
I really like this coat. Bought it as my contrasting and reflective upper body garment requirement for motorcycling on a military base.
FIT: I first ordered a 2XL. I didn't like the feel of it. Too tight in the chest and felt too short at the waist. Jack at Boston Industrial was very willing to exchange it for my 3XL. The fit was much better. I didn't feel cramped in the chest and shoulders. The riding up midriff sensation I had with the 2XL was gone as well. I believe another reviewer mentioned preferring a size up from his normal coat size as well. I feel dialed in at 3XL.
WARMTH: This coat has a removable liner and hood. Very nice. Very warm. Even on a dank, 50 degree day, on a motorcycle, I had to remove it. It's warm. I'm going to wear it today sledding with my family in temps of mid 30s. I'll bring the liner just in case, but I'm probably not going to wear it.
FEATURES: Not sure there's much to say here. It's got slash pockets at waist. Cell phone pocket with velcro on left chest. Liner has two pockets, one on each side.
RIDING: Admittedly, not marketed for motorcycling, but it does a great job for me. It puffs a bit, but I don't ride with it fully zipped. It's over the top for visibility (which is a strong feature on a motorcycle), but I think it looks better than the military "dork vest".
AREAS TO IMPROVE: I'm averse to tight fits in clothes. It's just me. To me, with the liner in and snapped in at the wrists, it's too tight. That may well be a feature to prevent moisture from creeping up. It's not unbearable. It's just not for me. Only other thing that could improve is that you lose your inside pockets when the liner is out. Putting one on each side of the shell would be king.
OVERALL: I like the coat. The improvement areas MIGHT cause me to drop the rating to 4.5 stars if the option was there, but no way I could knock a full star for my personal clothing peccadilloes and wanting a feature that probably doesn't exist in any coat.
