For 7 years I tried many different mask, all of which helped some but always had problems.I paid between $4 and $10 for each of them. None of them gave 100% blackout. Most of them had elastic to hold it on which sometimes was too tight in the begining and in the end stetched and gave out. I found these at a store and thought they were somewhat expensive. I was desperate though and forked over the money. WOW, am I glad I did.It is the best one I have ever had. A little pricey but I would pay it again because it is the only one that has given me 100% black out. It is also the most comfortable one I've owned.The adjustable straps are wonderful. I have had this mask 2 years and it looks and works like new. I would say to the one who complained that it put preesure on you that you may actually have it on too tight. I have found that this mask does not need to be on real snug to be effective. Another plus. I don't like any earplugs so for me the earplugs are worthless. I use a white noise sound machine. But again this is the best mask by far that I have ever owned. When I am ready to buy another one,this is the ONLY ONE I will buy.Customer Review: One of the best marital aid available

I bought a Bucky Eye Shade several years ago, put it aside and never used it. I don't know why I even bought it. Then the worst thing happened. My ceiling in my family room collapsed due to water damage. My husband CAN'T live without his TV fix so he bought a new one. The only place to put it was in our bedroom. I have to get up at 6 am so I need to go to sleep around 9-10pm. He stays awake until 12am. He telecomutes from home so he doesn't have to get up early.
He has a headset to let him listen to the TV so sound wouldn't bother me. However, the constant changing of light would make it so I couldn't get to sleep -- even with sleeping pills. I then found my Bucky Eye Shades. I go to sleep within minutes. This is so wonderful! I don't have to kick my husband out of bed. :-D

I bought one of these in an airport when my flight was delayed and I knew I would not be able to get home and get some sleep before I had to take my turn on the midnight shift. I was able to get sufficient sleep on the plane and still be productive, accurate and cheerful at work that night. I work rotating shifts and often find it difficult to sleep during the day; the Bucky Eye Shades have made a world of difference. They are soft, comfortable and adjustable and do a great job of blocking out the light. I own 3 sets, one for business travel that stays in my suitcase, and two for at home (in case I misplace one). I am buying several more to give to my employees, so that they can rest better also.Customer Review: Awsome eyeshades

I've owned two pair of these Bucky eyeshades over 15 years. They are comfortable and VERY effective, both at home and in an airplane. I keep one in my bedstand for the occasional weekend day when I get to sleep in a little and the other in my travel carry-on bag for flights.
The only downside is that after several years, the elastic in the bands begins to wear out, then they don't seal as well against your face to keep light out. Because the elastic is shot, I'm about to buy my third pair. (at this price, it's too bad that the elastic isn't easily replaceable, since the front part of the shades is still fine)

I have now owned 4 pair of these "Bucky Sleep Shades" over the last 12 years. I had tried just about every other brand available, then I hit a home run with these! They are very comfortable, even if you sleep on your side. They are complete "black out", as they let in zero light.
As noted in previous reviews, the only down side is that the elastic band that holds the shades on your head dies and runs out of "oommph" after a several years of consistent wear. That's when I buy another pair, 'cause they are ssoooo worth it. Great product!
