The Bucky eye pillow has the best 'black-out' out of all the eye pillows I've tried, because of the built in pillow on the bottom, inside (which the picture doesn't show). And they are machine washable (some brands actually aren't).Customer Review: Can't get any better than these

These are a little on the expensive side, but I have tried all the cheap ones out there and they are not worth it! The bucky eye shades are the way to go. After you try these, you will never go back.Customer Review: Lights out

As someone who is quite sensitive to light when sleeping, I have tried a variety of methods to block it out. This is particularly important as I take frequent 3-hour bus rides in the early a.m. and semi-frequent international flights. My bedroom has an east-facing window and lots of light comes in as the sun rises. The best thing I've found when sleeping at home is to throw a T-shirt over my face. When traveling, however, this isn't always particularly practical or fashionable.
I give the Bucky shades a high mark. They sit comfortably on my face and do a good job of keeping the light out. I usually need to spend some time tweaking the adjustable strap so that it doesn't bother me. When sleeping at home I sometimes just lay the shades over my face so the velcro closure doesn't create a bothersome bump where my head hits the pillow. With long hair, it's always a worry that the shades will mess it up. But I have always found them worth the trade off.
If sleeping with a T-shirt over your face is not a good option, and you are tired of light leaking through the bottom of cheap airplane eye masks, give these a try. I'm happy I went ahead and purchased them after a few years spent lusting after them. The black color is a true black.

I was a total Bucky fan until I found Dreamessentails.com. Having had my Buckys wear out after a few years in elastic, and not liking the feel of the elastic band on the back of my head, I went to dreamessentials.com, which is better than Buckys. Hard to believe because I was a Buckys convert, but dreamessentials has the same design layout, provides the ear plugs, and has a wonderful flat strip in the back and sides of your head with just two small velcro attachments for fit that you cannot feel. I sleep with all the comfort of Buckys, but none of the strap draw backs, plus my dream essentials have lasted me for at least 8 or 9 years now for about $23.00.
Looking back, dreamessentials has even more options, such as interchangeable aromatherapy packs such as lavender, etc. to help sleep as well. I will always love my Buckys, however, dreamessentials has taken their place in my drawer, and I have created many additional fans as well.

Customer Review: Complete darkness though thick band

Completely block out light and gently rests on face. The thick strap, with a velcro clasp on the back, presses into my head when I lay on my back and against my ear when I lay on my side. I'm going to try it for a few more days.
