When looking to buy, I browsed many of Built NY's products and decided to go with the medium market tote, because a) it was cheaper but larger than the lunch totes, and b) I could use it for a variety of things.
I'm using it right now as an oversized lunch box to take to work, and so far it's been lovely. It's roomy enough for all the tupperware I throw in, and washable...thankfully, because I spilled marinara in it! I've even gotten compliments from co-workers who think it's my purse. I haven't tried this yet, but I'm pretty sure I could carry around my macbook in it. My main complaint would be that it doesn't have a zipper closure (or any closure at all for that matter), but that hasn't actually caused me any troubles as a lunchbox, and I could see that being helpful for taking it to the grocery.
I haven't paid much attention to it's insulation ability.
I have, and would recommend this product.
