Given the tragedy in Haiti last month, I was searching for a way to tangibly support the relief effort in a way that was relevant to me. I was considering donating to The Red Cross, but then the (publicized) aftershock hit them & I knew I needed to give. Then along came Bungie & their "Be A Hero" T-shirt & online multiplayer promotions. I got every single gamer I knew on Xbox Live & we played w/the heart logo set up so we could be counted among those who were supporting the relief effort, so Bungie could get the maximum amount of dollars to donate to The Red Cross. I also bought the shirt for further support & it's always nice to get a little swag thrown in.
Great shirt! Though the ink fades pretty quickly w/subsequent washes, I knew full well when I bought it that it would do so because they obviously weren't going to do THICK ink on a charity shirt (the logic being: the less money needed to produce the shirt, the more money goes back to The Red Cross). All in all, it was a great purchase & it came to my house in less than a week after ordering! Thanks Bungie!!
