Customer Review: Defective Shoulder strap, but overall great bag!!

This bag is perfect for my needs. Right size, good number of pockets, holds all my gym stuff together. However, the shoulder strap ripped out from the seam under the weight. I don't carry a lot of stuff in my bag: towel, shoes, socks, shirt, pants, tolietry bag...thats it. But appearentlly that's enough weight for the shoulder strap to give out on.
Its a fault with the design of the shoulder strap. Its held to the bag with a straight stich, instead of doing an X stich across a wider area of the strap, as is NORMALLY done with this type of material. Because of this fault the strap material frays from under the seam and eventually will just pull out.
I contacted the company for a replacement but they will only replace with an identical product, with the exact same defect, understandable but it doesn't solve the problem. I'm lucky to have a seamstress for a mother and she will stich the strap on correctly.
If you don't need the shoulder strap this is an awesome bag. I hope they correct this design flaw in a future edition, I would certainly purchase again if they did.
