I purchased these for my potty training 3 year old. They do not hold a ton of urine, but will catch one accident, which is what I wanted them for. They are not diapers and are not as absorbant as diapers, but they will prevent a huge puddle of pee on the floor of a restaurant when you are out!! :) my daughter loves them and is full potty trained now, but we still use them on long car rides just in case.
I read some complaints that the elastic is too tight. I usually just stretch out the leg holes a bit before she puts them on. This seems to do the trick.
