This wand is very "toy-like". It is over-sized and very light. It is cheaply painted and chips at the slightest touch. Invest a little more money and enjoy and authentic looking wand in the box from Warner Brothers. I purchased the "Harry" wand from them and the difference is tremendous. I guess you get what you pay for. the wand was cheaply made and the shipping doubled the price of the item. It reminded me more of what I would find in my cat's litter box than a magical device.
