I'm quite content with this beaded lanyard and badge holder. The length was important to me, as I put my key behind my ID card so I won't get locked out of my office, and the cheap-o freebie that came with my ID was probably a 30 inch length, which meant I had to duck over to insert the key in the doorknob (awkward!). A couple of things:
A. This looks nice, and will go with most work-appropriate attire, however, mine has two random purple beads on it. so, some of you might not like that, or work at a school where purple is your rival's color. But, for the fact that this one is cheaper and has Amazon Free Shipping, I'm not worrying about that. If it bothers me too much, I'll get a black Sharpie and color the purple ones black;-)
B. I can feel a scratchy place at the neck. It hasn't bothered me enough to investigate yet but it is there.
C. The thing is not knotted between beads (of course, that would add many dollars to the price) and so if it breaks, the beads will go flying everywhere!
I'm still very glad I got it. The badge holder keeps my ID card from curling up, yuck, and it just looks more permanent and professional.
