I didn't try on my stomach. It would be way too big for me. I'm going to cut it into pieces and fashion my own calve bands. I have chronic edema and my compression socks I must wear to prevent severe swelling in my feet and keep me walking....causes problems in my calves. So I thought perhaps the neoprene sleeves might help. I couldn't find enough information or measurements listed on premade products to take a chance and purchase them from this vendor or others. And seeing the 50 inches on this item I realized I could cut it in half and sew on a velcro strip on the half I cut off and I'd pretty much have two sleeves that are approx 25 inches long. And yes I do have a sewing machine....portable commercial model that I actually bought over 12 years ago advertised to sew through foam products. And it does what it says so I do know what I'm doing here. I'm giving it 4 stars only because it didn't give the width of the products and only an estimate of the lengths. That latter helped me choose the largest size...and it turns out it probably is wide enough to cover the area I intend to cover.
Quality of item and craftsmenship is very good...no issues there at all. No one should worry about that. It is the classic thin neoprene for garments and you wear the green side towards your skin. I like the green over black and decent neutral over neons or any pinks and reds too. Thanks...I bought 3 different items from this vendor the same day. They only charged me for shipping listed on any one of the items so that day it saved me 14 dollars....very nice thank you. And the other two items were their upper arm sleeves I was hoping to use on my calves instead. And also the capri pants. Had trouble with capris being to narrow through the lowest calf region and that prevents me from pulliing the pants all the way up or keeping them up. Therefore the crotch hangs down too low and I can't keep them up around my waste either. Only choice I have is to slit the calf area and maybe look at adding in a zipper but I'll have to study it closer. No a larger size wouldn't work because the thigh through the hip and waist areas on the size I bought is already a bit too big...which is good because I need some room to get ahold of the fabric to pull up as far as I can before hitting the calves that prevent further movement. And it's my calves I've got the edema and swelling issues with so I'm not faulting the item as much as this isn't something new to me. I think I'll buy another pant full length leg and then cut it off and it might not be as tight. If it is tight I'll return it before of course any alterations. This brand I'm attempting to deal with.
