Not all boonie hats are created equal...some have wider brims than others....and most have 4 tiny grommeted holes for ventilation. This one has a wider brim than most ....as well as full ventilation. Mine was a little "greener" in color than the picture put it looks fine and serves the purpose of sun protection.
