This hat is great. It keeps my head warm and the wide brim keeps rain and small tree branches off of my face, ears, and the back of my neck.
The only down side is that a sizable side wind can throw it off my head.
The crushable aspect is great for worry-free transportation / stowage or when wearing the hat is uncomfortable (ie social or temperature reasons). It pops right back in shape.
There's good reasons for similar hats to have been popular for decades. Definately for anyone wanting more than ballcaps can provide.

A cushioned sweatband offers an even greater level of comfort. It features a trim of faux leather and a brim measuring 3".
