Customer Review: Cool, sturdy wallet
Rating: 5 Stars

When my son asked for a duct tape wallet I thought he was crazy. We just received it and it looks very cool and actually quite sturdy.

Customer Review: Remarkably usable

Since most people will only be interested in the cons of a duct tape wallet, I will list them first:
* Can keep change, however having change in it will create a noticable, but temporary, coin shaped dent in the wallet for a bit, and will add to wear and tear. Don't keep change on it
* Do not keep your keys in the same pocket as it. They'll speed up erosion of the outside surface much more quickly than usual.
* It will (eventually) start leaving tiny *non-sticky* black blobs of adhesive on its inner surface and your cards
* Some of the interior pockets, in mine at least, had some exposed sticky duct tape. Occasionally I'd have to use a bit of force to remove card.

My total length of use of this wallet is going on about 2 years, although I'm going to need a new one very shortly. I've patched together the forming holes on mine with normal duct tape, and they are *very* correct about this being a special type of tape. The normal tape oozes a lot of adhesive. In its current final stages it just seems like the tape has stopped being sticky, and is starting to flake away leaving the gause like web behind, mostly on the outside surface.

Although my previous wallet was nothing more than a rubber band (and thus I have less to compare it to), it seems to have been fully functional as a wallet. I never ran into an instance where I cursed at it, wishing for it to be made out of leather or wishing for some far off feature. However, if you're buying this to look cool, or for any reason besides novelty and personal fancy, don't bother. I've never had a compliment on it, only an eye brow raise.

Here is the important note about this wallet: it has a lifetime warrantee. They will replace it for the cost of only the shipping. See: http://ducti.com/warranty.php

Customer Review: Cautious when filling!
Rating: 4 Stars

If you, or the individual you are buying this wallet for has a knack for accumulating many cards and packing them cards into their wallet, this may not be the best choice. I bought this wallet as a gift for my boyfriend, and the inner seams were ripping after a few days of use. The wallet is still usable, but I was disappointed that a wallet at this price wasn't as durable as expected.

External quality is holding up well, and the wallet was in every other way a great purchase!

Great for hanging with the guys, but not a wallet you break out to impress -- More just for the novelty and not to trash your good wallet when you're skiing, MTB'ing, binge drinking, etc.

Customer Review: Pretty good so far...
Rating: 3 Stars

Well, at first glance it seems pretty well made, considering it's made of duct tape!

My only gripes so far:
1 - It's very deep, and it seems hard to stuff bills down into it. The two big grommets on the corners prevent it from fully opening up to accept bills, etc.
2 - The frontmost lefthand card slot doesn't allow the card to slide down all the way, due to interference with one of the rivets. The rivets do seem to be kind of overkill, especially considering the fact that this IS, after all, a DUCT TAPE wallet!

Bottom line: My cheap $6 duct tape wallet lasted about 1-1/2 years without the need for grommets and rivets, and allowed easier access to the contents. But then, it didn't look quite as STYLISH. ...and that's obviously very important when you're wrapping a wad of duct tape around your cash;P
