I am a multi-tasker. I try to plan my day's errand-running to be the most efficient. Unfortunately that often means I'm carrying more things than my arms can hold. That being the case, when I began my search for a messenger bag my parameters were basic: it had to be BIG, it had to be TOUGH, and it had to look COOL. This bag can hold a lot - I had all my stuff in it tonight while walking home. I decided to stop at the grocery store and pick up a jug of juice and a jug of mulk....in my bag they went and homeward I was bound. It also needed to be tough because by my very nature I'm going to attempt to cram more junk into it than it was built to hold. Not a problem with this bag - I'm reasonably sure I could shut this bag's handle in my car door, drag it down the freeway a bunch of miles, beat out a small forest fire with it, and it would still be in one, useable piece. Seriously. And lastly, if I'm going to parade around town with a man-purse slung over my shoulder, it needed to look cool. I absolutely love passing people on the sidewalk and spotting them checking out the bright orange "HIGH VOLTAGE" tape pulled across my chest. Face it people, you CANNOT beat this bag's bang for the price.
