Apparel reviews of Portable Countertop Dishwasher with Digital Controls - EdgeStarCustomer Review: Meets Expectations Rating: 5 Stars
I've had this dishwasher for about a month now and so far so good. Other reviews were helpful in pointing out that the powder detergent works best and to be sure to press the pressure release (red button) before disconnecting the hoses. I have found that although some water is supposed to stay in the unit, some still remains in the hoses after the cycle is complete. I usually just start a new cycle and then stop it after it pumps the remaining water out. That seems to do the trick.
As my cabinets are very low, I ended up putting the dishwasher on a rolling cart and easily connecting the hose to the sink for each use. I read that some people had trouble with the sink attachment breaking after several uses, so I just keep it screwed on and then just snap the hose in place when needed.
All of my dishes fit into the washer, for some of the larger ones, I just had to try a few times to face them in different directions. For my wife and I, we fit 1-2 days of our dishes in with no problem. I am planning to stick something on the side of the washer to hold the hoses/cord in place though.
Customer Review: This thing is a Godsend!! Rating: 5 Stars
This dishwasher performs exactly as claimed and then some. It is, in fact just as good as a full size dishwasher, period. For the price, what you are getting is more than what you'd expect. This exceeded our expectations and fits nicely on some spare counter space. It efficiently and quickly cleans all of our dishes and uses less water than using the sink. The shortest cycle is only 25 minutes!! the stainless steel finish matches our other appliances nicely and it was the only model we found that came with this feature. Lastly, the coolest thing of all is the little window where you can see your dishes being washed!!!!! wishy washy wishy washy!
Pros:
*Delicate
*Large capacity (in relative terms)
*Multiple settings
*Relatively quiet
*Great for smaller kitches or couples
*Fast
*Having a dishwsher again!
Cons:
Non yet...I hope the unit is reliable long term
Customer Review: Does exactly what I need it to do Rating: 5 Stars
I've only had the dishwasher for a few weeks now, but I can tell you it's improved my life considerably since then. I love to cook. Unfortunately I absolutely loathe doing dishes. This item, while rather hefty, gives me somewhere to stick my rinsed off dishes after eating.
And when it's full? Voila. I press a button and everything is cleaned. No stress.
Have had zero problems with leaks. And since the washing time is adjustable, it's also rather quick.
Con: if I had to pick one. Is that it's rather loud. But, jeez, you're getting your dishes washed. Also, potential jealousy from your girlfriend when she realizes you've been talking about nothing but your dishwasher for hours.
Customer Review: Great for small spaces - easy to install Rating: 5 Stars
I bought this for my mom, who has a small, oddly shaped kitchen that wouldn't allow for a larger dishwasher. It was easy to set up (though I found the directions kind of confusing, there aren't many parts and it's pretty much obvious). We had one leak during the first load, but my brother discovered it was just that I hadn't fully tightened the connection between the sink and the machine. Since then, no problems and my mom even recommended it to her hairdresser.
I also really like the form/design. The sleek silver look is very sexy and modern.
Customer Review: I think it's great Rating: 5 Stars
If you pre-rinse the dishes and use the correct detergent, it works great. I tried several detergents, and found that Cascade Complete does an excellent job, with absolutely no spotting (with my tap water, anyway). You do need to be creative when loading it, but I've crammed it full and the dishes still came out great. I moved the cup rack to cover the glaring hole in the middle of the basket, giving more usable space. I've owned several full size dishwashers, both portable and built-in, and this cleans as well, or better than the larger models
