Whatever the material is - its thin but durable against scrapes and scratches. It's not a very wide bag but works great as a basic beach bag. Only one pocket in the front and two on the side, but it's cheap light and durable. As for expensive shipping - the seller offers discounted shipping on quantities so i got my moneys worth and then some. As for the other reviewer - genius, you can SEE what the cost of shipping is before you buy!! I mean HELLO!!
