I just returned from a trip to France and Italy. I purchased this jacket specifically for this trip because I wanted security pockets. The jacket is light weight but roomy enough to layer under it. It has plenty of secure pockets plus extra pockets for things like airline tickets, cellphone, and those bulky hotel keys that some places give out. We wrapped up our trip in London where one of my pockets was the repository for the subway tickets. Just returned last night and washed the jacket today. It looks like new.

As a result, the jacket holds up to active use whether you're chasing elephants or the #9 metro bus. At the same time, the jacket offers multiple cargo pockets on the outside (many with security zippers) and a travel pocket system on the inside. The pockets give you plenty of space for a compact digital camera, your sunglasses, your passport, some Gorp, and a multitool (among other items). And regardless of how you're using the jacket, the Gobi's water- and stain-resistant Teflon finish is sure to make you feel and look good. Other details include a peach-finished, lined interior that's soft washed for comfort; a lightweight ventilated design to keep you comfortable while on the move; and a waist cinch that provides a customized fit. Field-tested and approved by the African Wildlife Federation, the Gobi jacket comes in small, medium, large, and extra-large.
