The Filson catalog will point out that this bag seems custom fit for the floor board space behind the driver's seat of a Land Cruiser. And I'm sure it's great on safari. I've used it as a carry-on and it worked just fine. What the Filson catalog won't point out is that this is the best diaper bag on Earth. Plenty of storage for diapers, wipes, crayons, coloring books, snacks, lightweight kid's coat, etc. The side bags hold baby bottles and sippy cups securely. The fabric is tough and so tightly sewn that when a bottle leaked in the main compartment, none of the juice soaked through onto my shirt. Because you can carry it over your shoulder, if you have a kid in one hand, you can still get stuff out of the bag with the other hand. This may be the only diaper bag you will ever get positive compliments on. And hey, I'm sure it'll last until the kids are out of the nest and it's time for that safari.
