Every couple of winters I purchase a new pair of these. The other ones get a little too stretched out for my liking. This last pair, however, still fit great. My problem with my last pair is that the lining was shredded due to the rings I was wearing last winter. Maybe it was these two particular rings I was wearing, maybe it could have been any rings. Either way, I've learned my lesson. No more jewelry with these gloves.Customer Review: Finally, gloves that fit!

I have large thin hands for a woman. Piano hands, but almost impossible to fit until I found Fownes gloves. They, unlike many glovemakers carry women's extra large. No more wearing gloves where the fingers and palm are too small and uncomfortable. And no more resorting to men's gloves that are too wide and bulky. At last I have found my perfect fit and at a reasonable price.Customer Review: Soft leather, runs tight

Pretty gloves and the leather is very soft, but the lining is thin and they're not the quality of this brand's older gloves. I have to return the 2 pair I bought in my usual size. These run tight/narrow, the index fingers are oddly constructed making them uncomfortable, and wearing rings would be impossible. If you're going to purchase these, I recommend going up a size.Customer Review: elegant glove

These gloves are fairly well made and quite attractive. The longer cuff length is nice also since it will stay inside a coat sleeve. If you wear rings, consider going up at least one size: they run pretty narrow through the hand and are almost painful to wear if you have rings on. The lining is a bit thinner and looser that older pairs of similar gloves. I would consider these most appropriate for mild winter weather - 40's and higher with gentle to no wind.Customer Review: Some problems

I measured my hand before I bought these gloves and chose my size according to the chart. Although technically I could wear them, I felt they were too tight. Wouldn't you expect gloves to be comfortable for the size and not skin tight? That was the first problem. Second problem is that the thumb (as another reviewer has already mentioned) was way too long -- about half an inch! It looked rather ridiculous -- and I don't have short fingers! I decided not to walk around like an alien and return them. Disappointed. Had to pay for my own return shipping too.
