Apparel reviews of G&G Nerd Glasses Buddy Wayfarer Black Frame Clear LensCustomer Review: Magnification Rating: 2 Stars
I was very excited when I first saw this product for sale. However, when i tried them on. i realized they magnified my eyes.
Customer Review: Not remotely as described Rating: 1 Stars
These glasses are not remotely the ones described in the listing. Italian? My ass. They say made in China on the arm. And, these are not made of Zyl (which is what quality plastic eyeglasses are made from), they are made of a really cheap creaky plastic that feels like it's going to snap at any moment. 3 barrel hinges? Not even close. And the icing on the cake is that they have clearly been spray painted black, as the hinges are painted too and are nearly glued shut. Judging by the description, I thought these would be the quality that I could have my own prescription put in. Not even close. These are dollar store glasses plain and simple. If you are looking for quality wayfarers, look elsewhere.
**UPDATE**
I emailed the seller about returning these and this was his response-
"I'm sorry you are mistaken and feel the need to lash out at others. Have a good day, there is nothing else we can do for you."
WOW. I guess being unsatisfied with a purposely misrepresented product is "lashing out". I have experienced some unprofessional behavior before but never like this. I understand it's a small amount of money but at this point it's about the principle of the matter and letting this guy know he cant get away with this kind of crap. After filing an A-Z guarantee claim he had the gall to try to get me to pay to send them back and listed all these absurd stipulations on why he would refuse a refund and send them back COD so I would have to pay the return postage. Seriously? I'm working with Amazon this minute to try to get this creep to refund my money plus shipping and get him off Amazon. I would avoid this crackpot at all costs if only out of principle. FOR REAL.
Customer Review: sweet, quality frame, terrible lenses. Rating: 1 Stars
Yes, I know they are cheap glasses, but the lenses are lower quality than cheap sunglasses, which was the quality I was expecting (that of cheap sunglasses, not less than) Optically TERRIBLE. Only passable for a costume, but terribly annoying if you want to actually wear them and see. They don't distort, but the clarity is terrible, even after a proper cleaning. For me, it made them pretty much unusable.
