Apparel reviews of One-piece Zoo Animal ChopsticksCustomer Review: LOVE these chopsticks! Rating: 5 Stars
We have had these chopsticks for several years, for our children, now 10, 8, and 3. All three of them love them, and use them with ease. This is a better price that what we paid for them, and they are extremely durable- we even wash them in the dishwasher. Great stocking stuffer!!
Customer Review: Too small mouth to be worthwhile Rating: 3 Stars
The chopsticks are cute and appear to be pretty durable (although I cannot comment on whether or not the black markings come off or not, such as the eyes and other features). The colors in the pictures appear accurate, but the mouth did not open wide enough to pick up anything but the smallest amount of food. Even a novice/kid who wants to use chopsticks may get sick of the fact that you'd have to pull the tongs apart, using a different hand position, in order to get it wide enough to put around a decent bite of food. Noodles or rice is one thing, but don't expect it to go around, for example, a restaurant-sized piece of sushi. It might be big enough for the most basic types of sushi, like a tuna roll with no other major ingredients. However, I thought that it was too small when I saw it at a store to even buy it to try one. (That being said I do feel that this is a trend in beginner chopsticks, as another brand I saw also had a mouth I thought was too narrow. Personally, I'd rather see a slightly wider mouth and then you just squeeze it around the item).
The price that is being offered is fair, and it is cheaper than where I saw it in a store (The Gnome at West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, Canada - at this time they do not have a web site) except for the price paid for shipping.
Overall, it might work if your kid is old enough to want to try to eat with chopsticks for the first time, but still young enough that they want their food cut into small pieces. Or a gag gift for that adult friend who can't seem to eat with chopsticks.
