Have had these for a month or so. These are well made and thicker than most socks for dress wear. The toe is the real Gold Toe deal and I wear these to work in dress loafers regularly with no problems. Wash well and wear well. Be advised these are not translucent or sheer, so if you are looking for a more sheer sexy look, these are too opaque and thick. But they are perfect for a dress sock in cold weather.Customer Review: Buying these for years

I have purchased these socks for years. They wash and wear very well and the fit is very good. The socks do not slouch and do not fall to your ankles.
True, they are not a really thick sock, but that is why I love them. I have difficulty finding them, in a knee high length at the department stores, so I was happy to find them here.

These are not thick socks but they are snug and the material is quality. I ordered 4 black pairs and 1 white. The black pairs fit well. Thumbs up! I was hoping for thicker socks but these are nice. The white however was way too small. It's more for an elementary school kid than my size 7 1/2 foot. Definitely not a "Women's Sock" even though it's labeled as such. Default exchange was "my fault." If I wanted a refund (exchange not offered) then I get to pay return shipping. Figuring out how to contact Amazon to work this out was a challenge but I finally found a link to contact them. I couldn't even explain how to find that link again! So, good luck. I shop Amazon frequently but you can really run into a brick wall when trying to deal with Amazon directly. Their many merchants who have store fronts that actually communicate with you over issues are great. But Amazon itself? Very difficult. So, I give the socks a 4+ but the ease of return/exchange a so-so. Great service after you figure out how to contact Amazon. If you are a woman with size 5 shoe or bigger (unless you're very petite or have very short calves!), then don't order White.
