I was very reluctant to spend this much money on a pair of gloves for a 7yr. old but I'm glad I did. I bought a medium and they fit him very well with room left to grow. He has no problem getting them on and getting his fingers into the finger holes, there are 2 cinch straps to make sure snow doesn't seep in the top and they are completely waterproof. He plays outside in the snow for hours and they stay dry every time. His hands are warm, the gloves are dry and I'm happy.

Gordini's Boy's Gore-Tex II features the Gore-Tex Guaranteed to Keep You Dry waterproof, windproof, breathable insert; Mini ripstop and 3 layer thermal ply waterproof, windproof, breathable fabric with stick-grip palm, fingers, thumb and wrap caps; Megaloft insulation with Hydrowick microdenier lining and taffeta in the cuff. It has a gauntlet cinch closure, and nose wipe.
