Grantwood Technology presents the tuneband armband for the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. This armband is NOT designed for the iPhone 4.

The silicone skin is secure, thick and protective and allows access to all the ports on the iPhone. We updated the armband and skin to be even more secure.

The tuneband has a comfortable stretchy VelcroŽ band that fits both large and small arms. Also, the tuneband comes with a low tack peel screen protector.

Customer Review: Perfect Armband for an iPhone
Rating: 5 Stars

I recently started running more and using my iPhone while doing so, which led me to want an armband. After some researching I decided to take the plunge and try the Tuneband, since it fit my two main criteria.

1. I wanted something relatively cheap.
2. I wanted a product whose primary purpose was to be an armband.

Overall I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and have consolidated some pros and cons below.

PROS
+ Cheap. I paid just under $17 for the red model with shipping included.
+ Elastic armband that is comfortable. The armband is made of soft material that stretches nicely around your arm while still maintaining a snug fit.
+ Screen protector is a nice add-in for anyone who does not already have one.
+ The rubber casing is soft and flexible, so I am able to slide my iPhone into place without removing my case (elago S2 Case for iPhone 3G/GS - Jean Indigo + Universal Dock Adapter included).
+ All the iPhone ports and functions are accessible. The case provides slots for the headphone jack, camera and iPhone adapter. In addition, the casing has a raised button-like surface for the volume and lock buttons.

CONS
- The only drawback I can see is the rubber casing, which may not offer the most protection in the event that you drop your iPhone. In my case it's not a big deal because I don't use the casing without the armband. However, anyone that is looking for a one stop shop of case and armband may want to look at other options as well.

If you want a simple iPhone armband for a good price this fits the bill.

Customer Review: Best iPhone Arm Band
Rating: 5 Stars

I got this arm band in pink for my wife who loves running on our treadmill. She loves it! She just needed the small arm band that came with the product, even though the extended arm band came with it too. It keeps the phone securely attached to her arm and she says it's very comfortable...doesn't even know it's there anymore when she runs. Before the arm band, she would place her iPhone on the console lip of the treadmill, and end up hitting the ear bud wire with her hands as they were pumping back and forth and send the phone flying! Not anymore. This product does everything it says it will and is perfect for anyone wanting an arm band for their iPhone.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone wanting an arm band for their iPhone. The best part about this purchase was Grantwood Technology's customer service. I had read other reviews where the owner of the company would try and resolve any issues a customer had with the product. This was impressive. I don't know many owners who would do that. After reading through some of the reviews and seeing that a handful of people needed the extended length arm band, I called and asked them for the longer arm band strap after I placed my order. Their staff got back to me almost immediately (within 1 hour) letting me know the extended length arm band would be shipped with my order. I am more than pleased with the overall experience I've had with Grantwood Technology and I'd buy a product from them again should the need ever come up again...even if they are probably buckeye fans. Oh well...nobody's perfect! HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Customer Review: Best armband out of two that I've used
Rating: 5 Stars

So far, I have tried two armbands for the iPhone 3G/3GS: the Tuneband by Grantwood Technology and the Nike+ Sport V6 Armband by Nike. I needed an armband for the gym, and I needed one immediately. I bought the Nike armband at Sports Authority for $35+.

Initially, it was hard to stuff the iPhone in the armband. The Nike armband stretches, but it is extremely tight. The phone does not align to the buttons on the armband (Power, Volume). It is extremely hard to navigate through the iPhone since it is a touchscreen. Reason being is that there is a plastic screen that goes over the iPhone screen. After a few days, I ordered the Tuneband through Amazon.com.

I immediately returned the Nike armband, and spent less than half the price for a product that is three times better. The iPhone fits securely in the silicone skin, yet it is easy to take out. The product stays put on my arm. I usually have it tighter when running, and I loosen it for weight training. When running, I noticed that if the Tuneband is worn loose, the iPhone will flap against your arm. To fix this, simply tighten it. As far as navigation goes, it is just like having the iPhone in your hand, because there is no plastic screen that goes over the iPhone screen.

This product is very sturdy, assuming that once you're done with your workout, you aren't aggressively removing the armband from your arm. I remove mine gently, just to make sure that I don't rip the silicone backing with the velcro armband.

Customer Review: I forget that I'm wearing it
Rating: 5 Stars

I was a little hesitant to buy this because of the reviews I read here at Amazon where people said their iPhone would flop around. However, since I don't run and most of my workout doesn't require me to hop around, I decided to give it a try. I'm very happy. The only time I remember it's on my arm is when I'm on the floor, on my stomach. In this position, the cords for the earphones can get in the way. However, I don't consider this a design flaw...it's gonna happen with any kind of armband.

A few things to note:
1) I could see how this would flop all over the place while running or hopping around. I take it off when I do my heavy bag work.

2) My arms are not small and that probably helps this product stay in place.

3) I sweat buckets when I work out. This doesn't affect the product other than some sweat getting under the plastic cover and getting on my phone. The easy cure it to remember to take the phone out soon after the workout and wipe it off...not a big deal.

4) I've been using it for about 3 weeks...so about 8 uses total. I imagine the velcro band will require some washing after a few more visits and I have no idea how to wash it properly. But so far, it still smells like new.

In short, the only person I would NOT recommend this to is a person with thinner arms who plans to run or do other hopping-type workouts

Customer Review: Fantastic Improvements That Fixes Previous Issues
Rating: 5 Stars

I previously reviewed Grantwood Technology's Tuneband for the iPhone 3G back in May '09 and gave it a 3-star rating. The primary shortcomings with the previous version of the Tuneband was the narrow armband and pliable silicon skin that allowed for a lot of jiggling whilst jogging. I found the jiggling around on my arm a distraction especially on longer runs where the armband would need to be readjusted periodically.

After posting my review I was contacted by Grantwood Technology and offered the opportunity to try out a new improved version of the Tuneband.

I'm happy to say that after using the new Tuneband for about one month I'm 100% satisfied with the product. Grantwood improved both the width of the armband and added reinforcement to the back of the silicon skin. The armband is about half-an-inch wider than the previous version. The silicon skin now has a significantly thicker backing. The armband itself passes through vertical slits on the back of the silicon skin. Thanks to the improvements the Tuneband is now stable on my arm whilst working out or jogging.

I've tried various armbands for my iPhone 3G and the Tuneband is by far my favorite. It's a no-nonsense armband that is easy to use and works exactly as expected. The silicon skin slips on/off quickly and the Velcro secured armband stays put.
