Apparel reviews of Guide Gear Snowsuit Black / RedCustomer Review: Priced low because it sheds feathers! Rating: 1 Stars
Now I know why this item is "PRICED LOW". Just got this suit delivered. I tried it on to check the size (didn't even get outside with it on), when I took it off I found was covered in goose feathers! The insulation apparently is a mix of goose and polyfill, and the inside lining is thin and porous enough to allow a LOT of goose feathers to escape through the fabric. I was wearing a lightweight polar fleece pullover under the snowsuit, and the feathers stuck in the fleece had to be plucked out by hand one at at time; they wouldn't budge with a lint roller or the sticky side of tape. The suit itself has a black fleece lined hood and it was also a mess of feathers.
To try to get rid of them, I put the suit through the laundry per the instructions on the label, and most of the feathers were still clinging all over the inside and outside of the suit when it came out of the dryer. I tried to vacuum them off but they're still hanging on everywhere, and now I see some feathers coming through the fabric on the outside of the suit as well. I'm returning it for a refund.
