The denim heather ones have become my "go to" socks. They look good both with jeans and with the navy scrub pants I wear to work. The first set of these I bought is over a year old and has held up well. No holes, slight fading and just a few pills where they rub my shoes. Not bad considering I wear them every week. These are medium-thin thickness which I prefer for comfort, but they might be too thin for someone in a cold climate. They have good stretch -there is no elastic in the top band and they stay up fine without it and without being too tight. I liked them enough to buy additional sets. Originally I bought them just to wear to work, but I kept reaching for them on my days off so I needed more.
