As gifts for my son, I bought 3 pairs of this style in different colors when it was a daily deal last month. First of all, it's VERY difficult to find 34 inseams in waist sizes over 38, but less than 44 (when Big & Tall range kicks in) -- especially in flat-front styles.
I gave him one pair ("bark" color, a very nice medium brown) for his birthday, reserving the other two for Christmas if the first pair fit. He has stocky legs and knees, and in the past most Haggars have fit too snugly below the thigh. To my surprise, these are cut more generously in the leg and fit beautifully! However, even with the expansion feature, the 40 is still a bit snug in the waist. We'll make allowances for this since he tried them on the day after Thanksgiving! They do look nice on him, so he'll receive the other two pairs at Christmas.
