I know Haggar mostly from pants so I was cautious when buying this. But I liked the idea of a 3/4 length wool coat and this looked good from the pictures: it is better in person and extremely well made. It also has a very timeless elegance. You could go to a football game with this and then turn around and go to a fine dining experience and it would look equally in place at both.
Besides the style I also like the following. You get two zippers. One completes the inner lining, the other is a more traditional zipper that runs the length of the coat. Because of the lining this coat does not 'feel wooly' against the skin. It also looks good zipped or zipped and with the buttons. Each of the side (hand) pockets is actually two pockets (they split them into two 'levels) in one and they are fully lined. This allows you to put your hand fully in comfortably while putting a cell phone or wallet in the other slot. There is also an inner pocket.
Most of the reviews seem to concentrate on price not on the jacket itself. If you are reading this you have web access. Certainly I would shop around. But if you decide to get the jacket here or somewhere else, you are getting a very stylish well made jacket. Luckily I just experienced two days in the 30s and 40s in a row in Austin (hey that passes for winter cold here) and this jacket felt great and I felt great wearing it. Great jacket for the Midwest and Northeast. Highly recommended.
