Customer Review: Striking style and solid construction.

The 200$ price tag is significantly lower than other backpacks of a similar style that I had been able to find and this is not without reason. The bag is listed on the seller's site as being made of a polyurethane material which rightfully carries a lower price tag than similar products traditionally made of leather. Is it low enough? You'll have to be the judge.
As far as quality goes, there are a few decorative items you can see in the image on the side that I question the integrity of (the buttons and side-clip), but otherwise the bag seems very solid. It will take a year or so of use to see how well it holds up but initial tugging and inspection proved satisfactory.
The packaging threw me off when I first open the box. Inside was a box which was itself inside a black shopping bag from a store in California. The box depicts a rabbit and says "Olivar" along with French and Japanese text. I had thought that I was purchasing the product directly from the designer, not through a third party (apart from amazon). This isn't bad per say, just unexpected.
Concerning functionality, the backpack is everything I expected. The straps are adjustable via belt-like buckles and are well padded. The back of the pack is also well padded. The bag stays securely shut with a "cross latch" (slides on like a -, then you twist it sideways forming a +.) There is a small clip on the side of the bag that could be used to hang a water bottle or small object from the side, though the clip feels flimsy. Storage space is suitable for a couple of books and a netbook or whatever items are typically stored in your purse.
While the backpack is designed to be used by children, it is adjustable to be large enough for all but the burliest of adults and makes a strong fashion statement. At the time of this review, I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a randoseru-style backpack as it neatly matches functionality and price point while looking great.
