Customer Review: Not comfortable but it works!

Well, this thing definitely isn't comfortable. You can't squat down to pick things up in it, and you can barely sit in it. So why am I giving it five stars? Because it works, and honestly that's all I care about. I still weight about 5 lbs more than I did when I had baby 6 weeks ago, but my hips are now the same size as they were before I was pregnant --- which indicates that it has either gotten me down to pre-pregnancy size or MAYBE even smaller (guess I'll know when I lose the last 5 lbs, if I do). That is really all the endorsement this thing needs --- I am BEYOND thrilled!
After a couple of weeks of trying to wear this during the day, (I did it, but it wasn't fun, especially nursing) I took the advice of another reviewer and started wearing this to bed. I've been wearing yoga pants to bed because we're co-sleeping and I get *cold* at night if I don't! So I only wear it about 3 hours a night --- between when I nurse her to sleep and the next time she wakes up to nurse. Also, I should say that I've had a couple of blips in the road. I tore badly during childbirth thus had a long initial recovery *and* had to have my sutures redone and it was very painful. I'm telling this so you'll see that it was about 10 days before I started wearing it initially and there was another 7-10 days where I stopped wearing it in the middle.
I will say that I think this is *much* easier with two people working it. My husband and I lace it together. He's really strong and able to get it really tight. I work the top laces while he does the bottom ones, and then he ties both sets tightly. It's *amazing* how much smaller we're able to get this than when I first started, seriously. And I've only lost about 4 lbs since then --- I didn't gain much with my daughter, and lost nearly all of it when she was born.
Anyway -- if you're thinking of getting this, I would highly recommend, and also recommend wearing it at night and having another person help you put it on. I thought about getting the Shrinkx Hips, and who knows, maybe that product works just as well as this one, but I am thrilled with how this works and very glad I purchased it!
