Apparel reviews of IZOD Men's Relaxed Fit JeanCustomer Review: Ultimate dad's jeans Rating: 5 Stars
I've been wearing these for a few years now. These jeans are a dead giveaway that your time as a hottie is long gone. I'm OK with that. They're big in the thigh, which is good for those over a certain age (or long time bicyclists like me). They last about a year and a half of frequent use. The waist seems to be an ego boosting inch or two more than advertised so I get them one size smaller than I do my khakis or wool slacks. These are the best deal for jeans on Amazon for the over 40 male set. Well made. Durable. Great price. The only drawback is that it usually takes about two weeks for these to arrive; I have no idea what the delay is about relative to other products on Amazon.
Customer Review: I LIKE LEVIS, BUT..... Rating: 5 Stars
FOR ALL MY LIFE I HAVE WORN LEVI JEANS UNTIL I PURCHASED THESE MADE BY IZOD. THEY ARE LESS EXPENSIVE AND MADE BETTER THAN LEVI 505'S. (AS WELL AS MORE COMFORTABLE AND NICER LOOKING). I OWN SEVERAL PAIR OF IZODS AND WEAR THEM FOR DRESS DOWN DAYS AT WORK AND TO CASUAL EVENTS AND I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE THAT WEARS LEVIS. IT MAY JUST BE ME, BUT IN THE PAST FEW YEARS LEVI JEANS ONLY LAST A COUPLE OF YEARS OR EVEN LESS. I AM IN MY FORTY'S, AND WHEN I WAS YOUNGER A PAIR OF LEVIS WOULD LAST ME FOR 4 OR 5 YEARS WITHOUT TEARING OR FALLING APART. THE IZODS SEEM TO BE MADE BETTER THAN THE "NEW" LEVIS... ALSO THEY DO NOT SHRINK AND TRUE TO SIZE.
Customer Review: Quality jeans with a generous change pocket. Rating: 5 Stars
Compared to my Arizona and Land's End jeans, IZOD outlasts them both. When the rear pockets develop finger-sized holes around the corners, it's time to retire them, and that generally takes about a year (for my other brands). I've had a pair of these in my regular inventory (worn once a week) for over two years now, and I'm changing to them full time.
Another very nice feature is the generous (large) change pocket, which easily carries my cell-phone or a decent-size pocket knife.
I just wish they came in loose fit...
Customer Review: They're decent but I wouldn't say they're the best Rating: 4 Stars
I bought two pair. Like shoes the lack of pants in my size at local stores e.g. Target (there's TWO less than a mile apart and neither have 34/32!? Maybe someone will discover inventory control and predict consumer buying...) so I am looking at amazon to buy pants.
They are heavy which while they'll probably hold up pretty well over time are also a bit warm. I have a hard time dealing with the front pockets. I keep my keys and change, cigarette lighter in my front pockets and it always seems a tight fit getting my hand in them to fish out what I need. I don't have this problem with Levis or Wranglers.
On the (new) pair I am wearing today there are loose string loops on the outer leg seams in more than one place. Whether this is an issue of quality control or merely quality I don't know. The other pair does not have the same loose string problem.
They are fairly comfortable but really that is often a factor of your body itself. Not any more comfortable than Levis to me though.
The legs are longer than typical jeans of the same size. My 34/32s are more like a 34/33.
If you never tried on a pair I might suggest trying them at a store first before buying online. I wish I could but see my opening thesis...
