The Kettle Hat helmet's pointed top served to deflect blows by sword or other pummeling apparatus away from the head. Soldiers during the late 12th Century relied on it to protect them in battle. It would later evolve into the well-known Morion or Conquistador helmet.

This full size, handcrafted Kettle Hat helmet is forged from 18 gauge steel.

The helmet is full sized and wearable for costume.
