Apparel reviews of Ingrid & Isabel Women's Maternity Everyday BellabandCustomer Review: I cannot imagine pregnancy without these!!
Bella Bands are a GODSEND to pregnant women. I started wearing mine around my 9th week when my pants/skirts started getting snug around the waist, before I started purchasing maternity clothes. Now, in my 26th week, I STILL frequently wear Bella Bands in between wearing the maternity clothes that I have now. What incredible comfort one feels with these on - you can have your pants/skirts completely unzipped & yet they are held up AND look stylish (looks like a shirt is layered underneath)! Inspired by an earlier review, I purchased a set of 3 - brown (called something like coffee or mocha), black & white... though I was open to buying more colors (or the ones w/ the lace) I never really needed to, these 3 colors have been versatile enough for me this whole time (I was also concerned the lace ones would look too "underwear-y" for the office). A word about sizing, even though my dress size falls in the smallest "size one" category, I followed the directions in the sizing chart & sized UP because I prefer a less-snug fit around my waist - I am soo thankful I did that. I was concerned that sizing up would make these less effective in holding up my clothes but they work great. I slip these on over my undone bottoms, then fold the top half or third over. These are snug enough to hold up clothes & give definition while also leaving me plenty of breathing-room. These don't need much laundering as they go over your clothes, but when they do, I pop them in the washing machine then air dry (machine drying supposedly takes away some of the elasticity). I've raved about these to everyone I know... friends & family who went through pregnancy long ago are envious that we have Bella Bands these days! If Bella Bands didn't exist, I would've had to buy an entire maternity wardrobe early on... these have allowed me to continue wearing many of my pre-pregnancy clothes while purchasing small amounts of maternity clothes as needed - a real money stretcher. And yes I've worn these w/ maternity clothes too - either to cover up the existing band on the clothes (Bella Bands look more "shirt-like" than those) or to hold up ones that are a little too big now (but will fit in later months). I'll update my review to include my experiences postpartum. THANK YOU, Ingrid & Isabel, for inventing these!!
