Description of Ingrid & Isabel Women's Maternity Everyday Bellaband

Wear your non-pregnant pants a little longer and your maternity fashions a little sooner! The BellaBand is a seamless knit band you wear at your waistline, over your unbuttoned pre-maternity pants or over slightly big maternity pants and skirts. No one has to know your pants are undone or loose -- the BellaBand smoothes everything out. The BellaBand is made of soft, sumptuous European yarn that is hard to find and expensive to buy. It gives the final product, a knitted BellaBand, significant loft, thickness, and a sueded feel to the hand which is soft to the skin and gently grips the clothing it covers to hold itself in place. The yarn is knitted with nylon and with the highest gram of blended yarn per square inch which gives the product a heavy weight, incredible stretch and recovery, comfort, support and an opaque surface.

Apparel reviews of Ingrid & Isabel Women's Maternity Everyday Bellaband

Customer Review: Great fit on Petites (4'-9", 90lb pre-preg) woman
Rating: 5 Stars

I read the reviews, was skeptical and didn't go for the 3 pack. After trying this out for 2 weeks I absolutely love the bella band.

Yes, this is just a really wide, really good quality piece of elastic. Seamstresses in the know for where to get super wide, great quality elastic can probably make it themselves. I prefer ensuring quality, smooth seams and great edges by purchasing this one. The fabric is just thick enough, but not too thick. Good hold - not constraining. Flattens out the popping belly button, hides open flaps / buttons.

I am 4'-9" tall and 90lbs pre-pregnant - dress size 0Petite. Now 7months & 108lbs. I have to fold this over, and it gives me a more secure hold. Smallest bella band is a perfect fit. It feels like a good hold, but does not feel constraining around me at all. It does add a bit of warmth.

My weight gain has been in my belly ONLY, so most of my clothes still fit. The pants I wore were low-cut (ie. no mom's generation, over the belly stuff) and sit on the hip. Zippers were pretty short (3" max). Covering up with the bella band is really easy. The fabric is just thick enough to hide button or open flap shadows, both single, but also folded over. You MAY see it if you looked really HARD at lower belly slopes.

It doesn't ride up on me like some reviews said. On very low cut pants, I find that when I sit forward, the back of my pants slip very low around my butt. Ocassionally I check it and pull the band lower if necessary.

Great deep black matches black clothing & edging is high quality, so it looks like it's really part of the pants themselves. Thus the "gap" above my pants doesn't look like it's covered up by some third piece, but the pants themselves.

Regret = Most people throw baby showers so late in the game, so it's not worthwhile requesting these as gifts. I wish I had gotten this band a little earlier in my pregnancy. I would have had more trousers to wear sooner. If I splurged, I'd get more colors.

Customer Review: A must for maternity
Rating: 5 Stars

Around week 14, my regular pants starting getting too tight. This was a lifesaver. It allows you to keep your pants up, yet conceals the fact that they're not buttoned. I was nervous it would be noticeable but it hides it well and holds them up, without being uncomfortable.

Around week 25, I was in maternity pants but as maternity pants can droop (especially the jeans), this helped keep them up. Again, comfortable. I wore this until the end of my pregnancy, and it always looked like a white T-shirt underneath my maternity top.

Postpartum, this was also a lifesaver. For the first three months, I still had to wear my maternity pants unfortunately, but obviously the only way to keep them up was this band. Then when I began to fit back into my regular jeans but wasn't quite there, this helped me keep them closed until I could button them again.

This is a great product for all maternity stages and it's really a necessity. The only thing I would recommend, if this price seems high, is to check out other knock offs. For example, Target makes a band similar to this that is supposedly much less expensive though I have not tried.

Customer Review: A must-have item

I got my first BellaBand last week and already I know I want another. I got a little panicky this morning when I couldnt find it! I love anything that allows me to continue to wear my regular pants and its very well made.

I am 15 weeks right now, and normally a size 8 and their size 2 was the right choice. I expect that I will continue to get tons of use out of it in the coming months. The band has enough give that I know I wont need to get a larger size later.

At least at my current size, I prefer to fold it in half and wear it over the top of my pants. The material feels smooth and supportive against my skin and I have not experienced any rolling. Its not a plain cotton tube top - the material is smooth, but its thankfully not slinky or slippery. I contemplated getting one with a lace edge, but because I like to fold them I think the simple smooth edged version might be better for me.

Customer Review: Great product - I use it everyday.
Rating: 5 Stars

I bought this product from Amazon and was a little hesitant because it's ~$30 for an elastic band. I wasn't sure if I really needed it but I use this thing everyday. I think I bought it when I was about 4 months and now I'm 3 weeks away from my due date.

I use it wear my non pregnancy pants. You just wear your old pants, have them unzipped and put this band over them. Sometimes I do have to pull up my pants but not too often and only with certain pants.

I'm getting bigger now and even when I wear my pregnancy pants I fold over the bella band to use as a support on my growing belly. It's great. I guess you can even use this post-partem.

I would buy this again...I also hear you can cut 2 holes in this for hands free breast pumping...I however bought something specifically for that.

This product is great and I would recommend it to anyone preggers.

Customer Review: Thank goodness

I didn't know about these the first time I was pregnant, but am so glad I found them the second time around! They helped me stay in my prepregnancy clothes longer, held up my preggo pants when they were too big and later when they were too small, smoothed things out under my clothes , and kept my belly from being visible beneath my shirts when I was 9 months pregnant. Yes, you occaisionally have to pull them down (they can ride up in back like a shirt when you're sitting) but it's a small price to pay for maintaining decency. These also held up my scrubs for work, so I didn't have to buy 'maternity' scrubs or worry about my pants falling down. As for size... I was a size 6 prepregnancy, and size 1 was perfect. Would not have wanted to go through another pregnancy without these!
