Description of Ingrid & Isabel Women's Maternity Everyday BellabandWear your non-pregnant pants a little longer and your maternity fashions a little sooner! The BellaBand is a seamless knit band you wear at your waistline, over your unbuttoned pre-maternity pants or over slightly big maternity pants and skirts. No one has to know your pants are undone or loose -- the BellaBand smoothes everything out. The BellaBand is made of soft, sumptuous European yarn that is hard to find and expensive to buy. It gives the final product, a knitted BellaBand, significant loft, thickness, and a sueded feel to the hand which is soft to the skin and gently grips the clothing it covers to hold itself in place. The yarn is knitted with nylon and with the highest gram of blended yarn per square inch which gives the product a heavy weight, incredible stretch and recovery, comfort, support and an opaque surface.
Apparel reviews of Ingrid & Isabel Women's Maternity Everyday BellabandCustomer Review: Works pretty well so far Rating: 4 Stars
This was a good idea for me, and saved a bit of money! I just entered my second trimester and it's been a while since I could button up most of my pants. BellaBand to the rescue! I was size 4/6 earlier, but gained some weight and size 2 works very well. I fold it only little bit at the top as I am not comfortable having a thick band around my waste.
My only complain about it is the little rubber tag that is shown on the outside. If the goal is to make it discrete and hide pregnancy for a while - then why in the world did they place a label tag with the word BellaBand on the bottom of the band? I had to get my manicure scissors and carefully cut it off as soon as I got it. For 26 dollars, I shouldn't need to do that!
Customer Review: Belly Band Size 1 (small) Rating: 4 Stars
The bella band is a great way to keep your regular pants early in pregnancy. It's also a good way to cover up your stomach when it begins to poke out underneath your blouses. I purchased a small, since I am a size XS or S prepregnancy but I found it to be only useful between 12-14 weeks. Then it began to be too tight and I felt it was restricting airflow. Luckily, a friend gave me her Bella Band that was a size medium and while that may be somewhat loose on the top, works just as well holding the pants up as the small but doesn't restrict air/blood flow. So my recommendation is to go a size bigger than you normally are pre-pregnancy. You'll get more use out of that longer term. This also works great with the belly belt.
Customer Review: Great product! Extends the life of pre-pregnancy clothes Rating: 4 Stars
I bought this band when I was just a few weeks pregnant. Obviously I had no real need for the band yet, but I wanted to try it out. I began using the band on some of my already tight jeans when I was about 9 wks along. I still didn't really need it, but it felt great to have all my jeans suddenly turn into elastic waists! I wear a size 14-16 and I ordered the size 3. It was a perfect fit. My only complaint is that it does tend to bunch up. I mostly used it was the folded over method and I did have to frequently adjust it, but that never really bothered me. I bought the black band and it was great because it just looks like I had a black tank top on under my clothes.
Customer Review: can use it throughout the pregnancy Rating: 4 Stars
I bought this when I was about 16 weeks. I bought two pairs of maternity jeans as well. I use bella band with my regular jeans a lot more often than maternity jeans since I didn't gain much weight. I'm at 34 weeks now and still wear my regular jeans with this because I like it much better than baggy maternity jeans. You can also wear this to support your baby tummy with anything you wear. But it looks like Target carries similar items at cheaper price -16.99 or something. If I had known that I would have purchased that one since you're not going to be pregnant forever then why not save some money?
Customer Review: A Pregnancy Must Rating: 4 Stars
I originally went to purchase one of these bands from a maternity store, in a one size fits all. However, because I am small (Size 2/4), the saleswoman suggested I order a Bella Band, which comes in sizes. I ordered the XS in black and it has come in sooo handy. I am currently 20 weeks and am able to wear my normal jeans with an elastic looped through the hole. I then wear the bella band over, to cover up the buttons. It looks just like a long shirt. I am definitely getting my full value out of this!
