This thigh high has a silicone dot band to keep the stocking firmly yet comfortably in place, generous toe area, and reinforced heel pocket for durability. The 15-20mmHg of gradient compression helps improve blood flow, prevent edema (swelling), and reduce the discomfort caused by mild to moderate varicose veins. Available in beige with an open or closed toe, and in black closed toe only. Woven from 74% nylon, 18% spandex, and 8% silicone. I used these stockings during the last 4 1/2 months of pregnancy for varicose veins on the back of my right knee. They were comfortable, relieved the painful aching and they totally stayed up. Very good product. It really helps my painful legs. They are too thick to use during the hot summer of Texas, but can use them at home.
