This really is a great jacket.
I am from Chicago and every single dude on the street is wearing a black pea, or wool coat to work. The charcoal look is really a nice switch. Truthfully, there is nothing really that makes this coat stand out. It is what it is, a wool pea coat. It is lightweight, and suprisingly warm. I have another light wool coat, but it is terrible at keeping me warm especially with Chicago's cold wind. The KC jacket is a nice alternative to wearing a bulky down, or eskimo jacket. The only frustration I have is that there is an inside button to ensure that the jacket fits tight. The button is a huge pain, but I am sure in time I will get the hang of it.
Also, when considering a jacket the way it fits is HUGE. I personally, hate the jackets that flare out at the bottom and do not fit comfortably, and I also do not like jackets that are too tight in the armpit area. This jacket fits my body style great. In consideration, I am 6'4" and 165 lbs, so I am on the slender side. I bought a Large size. For a bigger guy this may be too tight of a jacket with the arms (maybe try an XL). I would consider this a slender fit jacket.
Overall, great jacket and I would definately have paid more.
