Aside from being both great looking and exceptionally light and amazingly waterproof (water fears this thing), I use the Minimal whenever I travel. It packs away very small so I can keep it in a small pocket of a carry-on. When ever I need it, I can unfold it, give it a sharp shake and, presto, it looks like new. The red accents are a subtle plus.

The BlackCoat Minimal is a raincoat, overcoat, and travel coat for the true modern minimalist who also appreciates distinct yet unassuming details. Like all BlackCoats, Minimal's hybrid styling makes it great for casual or more formal occasions as well as wet environs. There is no reason to look like a social variant by wearing a business overcoat with jeans, or having to bring two coats (one for business and one for nightlife) when traveling. Minimal goes great with denim and is designed to fit over a sport coat; it's all you need. The signature red in the collar and unique stitch work contrast the coat's basic form to give you that slight edge in personality without being weird. Similar to all BlackCoats, Minimal is made from the the latest encapsulated waterproof fabric technology by Nextec. Get caught in a downpour or drizzle and marvel at how the water mercurially beads off the surface. One new feature added to BlackCoat Minimal is the raglan sleeve. Now it's even easier to reach the overhead bin without feeling cramped, not to mention providing an overall softer appearance. When it comes to pocketing, only the essentials were considered - two breast and front pockets, as well as one pen pocket. Last, but not least, Minimal is the lightest in the BlackCoat family weighing in under 1.5 lbs.
