These lined leather mittens are made by Raber Glove Company in Canada, where they know a thing or two about cold weather. A shell of tough, durable cowhide leather and two layers of thick polyester/acrylic lining make these among the warmest mittens we sell, the ultimate protection for the most frigid winter days. Simple, traditional style elements include an elastic shirred wrist and a Velcro strap, which help create the best fit while keeping cold air out of these very warm cowhide mittens for men. I ordered these for a Christmas gift, thinking they looked nice and a somewhat dressy mitten. I was so disappointed when they arrived. They look like they are lined with insulation, and on the cuff there is no finishing. The lining and leather meet at the cuff (typically you see the leather folder over about a .5 inch inside the mitten to make it look nicer. They are incredibly stiff and would never fit or stay in a coat pocket. Those looking for something warm that do not need them to look at all dressy may still like these, as I am guessing they are warm. However, If I was going for warmth only I would likely go for a more rugged mitten all together. I plan on returning these.
