Customer Review: Good jeans, but for the pockets

When I was a young sprout, Levi's were only made for the anorexic boy-figure girls with no waist and stick legs. Now, I can wear them. It's so awesome to find jeans that a) don't have '70s flares (sorry, 'boot cut'=flare), and b) do have a waist that lands between my nipples and pubic bone. ~ But what *irks* me about these jeans is that the front pockets are for muppets! What is it with women's pants? Am I the only female in America who puts her hands in her pockets? I can't even fit my fingers into these ... and I am average height, average build, average everything. Levi's, are you listening? Don't scrimp on the pocket lining.Customer Review: Great Jeans

These are pretty much exactly how I pictured them. Although I thought they would be a little tighter. I'm 5'8 148 pounds and I got them in a size 10 long. They're a little loose, which is usually not a problem for me since I have rather curvy hips and thighs. But I'm sure if I wash them in hot water they'll shrink down to the size I like. The material is sturdy but not too stiff. And they're actually long enough for me to cuff them! I got them in blue wave, since I hate the used jeans look. And it's a nice classic style. I recently lost a lot of weight and wasn't sure what style would work for me. I bought these 505's in a 6 medium and they are perfect. LOVE them! I just wish they came in true black. When I needed more, I did a quick Google search and found them cheaper with DenimExpress. I was a little concerned that they were seconds or something, but it turned out just fine. I bought mine in a store a couple of months ago and let me say, they fit GREAT. I am an extremely hippy girl and these jeans are GREAT for me because the waist isn't huge. Mine are think denim and stretch a little more in the waist than other parts of the jeans.
I would recommend these to anyone who has problem finding pants that fit in the waist AND the hips because you have larger hips.

I've been shopping Amazon since before they were set up to take online payments, so I know they sell quality itmes & have a great return policy. I would give these jeans 5 stars, but as others have stated, the sizing & even the styling vary greatly. I have about 5 pair I bought in local stores (Tractor Supply, Beall's, Academy) & each is different. I usually wear an 8 short but with these jeans you can't go by the size marked. I have some 8 medium, 8 short, & 10 short. The waist size is close on each pair, some are slightly tight & some are looser. My waist varies, unfortunately, so I have kept them all. My height doesn't vary, fortunately, so I bought jeans that fit, whether marked medium or short. The darker ones do seem a little tighter. There is some variation in the bagginess of the legs, too. Also, there are 2 different style labels. Most of my jeans are made in Mexico & one was made in Cambodia. I can't see any consistency among the sources or the label styles. My advice - do as I do. Button your favorite pair of jeans & measure from one side to the other. Take a tape measure with you to a store & measure the waists of several pairs, including sizes smaller & larger that you would usually wear to find jeans that will fit you. I just eyeball the length because I don't mind a little difference there as long as they aren't too short. You might try the 525 or 526 styles since the waist control stretchiness accommodates tummy variations. I only have one pair of the 526, so I can't testify as to their consistency, but I'm likely to try ordering a pair from Amazon after buying them at a local store recently.
